Josette Victor, age 73, of Irvington NJ, entered eternal rest on Tuesday June 28, 2022, at 8:21pm. She was 1 out of 10 children of the late Jacques Providence Berry and the late Freda Dubby Berry.
Josette was born in Haiti on March 22, 1949. She completed her education in Haiti where she also met Joseph, the man whom she would marry and start a family. She immigrated to the United States in 1979 with her husband Joseph Victor and their son Jean Ralph Victor. She continued her education in the United States and earned her credentials to work as a CNA, Certified Nurse Assistant. In 1983, she was blessed with another son named Daniel.
Josette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved and made numerous sacrifices for her family. She was a woman of faith who was well loved by her church community.
The family lived in Irvington, Newark and Maplewood until about 2002. They moved to Florida for a few years until they ultimately decided to move back to NJ permanently.
Josette is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Victor; sons Jean Ralph Victor and Daniel Victor. Their spouses Naomi and Amelie. Grandchildren, Desiree, Amoni, and Andrew. Sisters/Brother: Marie Francois, husband Alfred Francois; Marie Laurette Jules, husband Max Jules; Yvrose Berry, Frena Berry, and brother David Berry and his wife Adeline, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
