Josephine (Armatruda) Buttillo, 89, passed away on May 31, 2014. Born on November 13, 1924 she was a long time resident of Fountain Hill. Josephine had a strong will and fighting spirit that will be greatly missed. Surviving is her loving husband of 61 years, Vincent Buttillo, who took wonderful loving care of Josephine throughout her illness. Also surviving are a son Jeffrey and his wife Amy and grandchildren Mya & Vinny of DE; daughter Pamela Coyle and grandchildren John Paul & Noah of Bethlehem; daughter Karen Buttillo of Scranton. Also surviving are sisters Jenny Slusaw of Bethlehem; Annie Merwarth of FL; nieces, nephews. Predeceased in death by parents, Joseph and Mary Armatruda; sisters, Rose Petro, Louise Catalano, Lucy McDermott, Mae Basista; brothers, Pat Armatruda, Joseph Armatruda, Frank Armatruda. Josephine was especially proud of her grandchildren, her face would light up whenever she spoke about them and visited them. Josephine enjoyed sitting on the porch chatting with neighbors, family and friends. Her life was enriched by the outpouring of support from those around her and the family was extremely grateful to everyone for all the acts of kindness. Special thanks to St. Luke’s Hospice House and the wonderful staff who took great care of Josephine in her final days.
