***PLEASE NOTE THE MASS IS CHANGED TO TUESDAY. FEB 1ST, DUE TO WEATHER***Josephine S. Raneri-Shea, age 65, of Carver, formerly of Plymouth, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 15th. She was the wife of Paul J. Shea. Loving mother of Sarah Cushing and her husband Peter of Plymouth, and Taylor Shea of Plymouth. Sister of Donna Raneri-Alonardo and her husband Thomas of Medford, Andrea Raneri and her Husband Mark Doyle of Plymouth, Mark Raneri and his wife Cheryl of Reading, and the late Salvatore Raneri. Josephine is also survived by her granddaughter Madison Cushing, and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Josephine was born in Somerville, Ma on May 8, 1956. She is the daughter of Anna (Ross) Raneri and the late Salvatore Raneri. She was a graduate of Plymouth-Carver High School class of 1974. Josephine was proud to be the first female manager for Pizzeria Regina in Downtown Crossing, which she went on to make her career of many years. Josephine particularly loved days spent on the ocean with her husband and daughters. She had a passion for music and loved to dance. It didn’t matter if it was Motown or disco, she would be on her feet dancing with a smile on her face. She will be remembered for her kind and welcoming heart and her natural ability to make others laugh. Josephine was happiest when together with her family and friends. Above all, Josephine cherished every moment spent with her granddaughter. A visitation will be held at the Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. Plymouth (Manomet), on Friday, January 28th, from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 1st, at St Bonaventure’s Church, Plymouth (Manomet), at 10:00 am.
