Josephine P. Lindquist, 97, of New Haven, passed away at her home in Fair Haven on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017. She was the widow of well known sports figure, John E. “Swede” Lindquist. Born in New Haven June 27, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Giovanina (Jennie) Papero Piscitelli. She attended Stone Business College and was Associate Executive Director of the Connecticut State Medical Society where she worked for 57 years until her retirement. During World War II, she was a civilian employee of the US War Dept. She was an active member of St.
