Waterbury – Mrs. Josephine (Cappella) Mannello, age 101, of Waterbury died Monday August 4, 2014 at Abbott Terrace Health Care Center in Waterbury. She was the widow of Luke Mannello. Mrs. Mannello was born in Waterbury on June 27, 1913 daughter of the late Pasquale and Assunta Cappella. She was retired from the Wheeler Wire Company, a defense plant, where she had worked for many years. Mrs. Mannello is survived by three sons: Paul L. Mannello and his wife Margaret of Waterbury, Joseph Mannello and his Fiancée Diane Basin of Boca Raton, FL. and Luke Mannello of White Plains, MD., a brother: Lewis Cappella, grandchildren: Marianne Mannello and her husband Paul Rowley, Nancy Bailey and her husband Pat Bailey, James Mannello, Kirsten Mannello, and Ted Mannello and his wife Melissa, great grandchildren: Joseph, Stephen, Maria and Caitlin Rowley, Patrick Bailey, Ted Jr. and Allison Mannello and several nieces and nephews., Mrs. Mannello’s family would like to thank all of the staff at Abbott Terrace, especially Kingsbury for the wonderful care that they provided.
