Josephine Perugino Ciociola died peacefully on September 13, 2012, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Alphonse Ciociola. Born in Bristol, CT on April 16, 1913, a daughter of the late Dominic and Christine Cistare Perugino. She was employed by the Yale School of Medicine as an administrative assistant. Josephine is survived by her children Dominic Ciociola of Las Vegas, NV, Robert A. Ciociola of New Haven, and Christine J. Ciociola, Esq. of Branford, a brother Anthony Perugino of FL, two sisters Ann Perugino of Bristol and Irene (John) Velardo of Terryville, CT. She is also survived by two grandsons in whose lives both she and Alphonse were very influential, Robert “Tony”(Christina) Ciociola of Killingworth and Marc (Lisa) Ciociola of Clinton. She also leaves two great grandaughters Francesca Josephine and Reese Anne. Josephine will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
