DURHAM- Joseph Xavier Cook, 86, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019.
Mr. Cook was born March 23, 1933 to William and Catherine Cook in the Town of Onondaga, NY. Joe retired after 42 years at Carrier Corporation. He was a resident of Onondaga Hill for 80 years before moving to Durham, NC. Joe was active as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Syracuse area since September 13, 1958 and was currently attending the Cary Central Congregation in Cary, NC. He loved to weld and enjoyed camping. Joe will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 66 years, Edith Ann Cook. He is survived by his sons, Ricky H. Cook (Elizabeth), and James “Jim” W. Cook (Lois); daughter, Rebecca Bergsbaken (Kurt); four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
