Joseph P Troop passed away peacefully at age 98 on June 22, 2015 in Scottsdale AZ. He is survived by one son, Dan Troop of Scottsdale, AZ, a daughter, Susan Troop Renner (husband Les) also of Scottsdale, three grandsons, Brian, Jonathan and David Renner, as well as a sister, Helen Aarnes (husband Bill), of Seal Beach, CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Doris Troop.
Joe, as he was known to all, was born in 1917 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and was raised in Minneapolis, MN. After serving nearly four years in the US Army stationed in London during World War II, he left Minnesota for warmer weather and finally settled in Arizona in the early 1950’s. During his working life, he was employed as a publisher’s representative by Hearst Corp., Simon and Schuster, and eventually the Family Circle Magazine of the New York Times, from which he retired in 1988.
