Joseph D. Seiler, 60, of Viera, FL passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at his home. He is survived by his children Katy, Vicky, and Tommy, and his sister Kathy Stein. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph & Elizabeth Seiler.

Joe spent the early part of his career at Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage working in Subcontracts. He continued on to United Technologies, and then to Harris Corporation when he moved to Florida. Most recently Joe was working in transportation for the Brevard County School Board.

Joe spent many happy hours in his youth playing stickball, surfing, and fishing. He developed a love for tennis and golf, and became involved in SCUBA. This led to many happy camping trips with the Grumman Dive Club to the Keys and the springs of North Florida as well as wreck dives off the coast of Long Island. Joe had a strong interest in American History and World War II history. He was always reading a book on one of the subjects, and was happy to engage in conversation about what he had learned.

Joe married Patricia Blaurock in 1987. They moved to Florida and had great adventures with their Boston Whaler behind their home on the Indian River. They were blessed with a daughter Kathryn in 1990, Victoria in 1993, and a son Thomas in 1995. Joe realized a lifelong dream when the family made a 30 day, 10,000 mile cross-country trip in 2005 with their camper enabling them to appreciate the beauty of America.
