Joseph Ryan “Joey” Doolittle, age 9, of Newnan, GA, beloved son of Tom & Kim Doolittle and brother to Tommy & Robby, passed away on July 4, 2008 after a long and heroic battle with cancer. Joey fought the disease from the age of 3 months and was an inspiration to many. Joey’s family considered him a gift from God. In Joey’s final days, even as the cancer spread throughout his body, Joey thinking of other sick children, founded a charitable organization called Joey’s Toy Box in order to provide toys to other kids like Joey who battle cancer. Joey touched the lives of so many, and his legacy will live on through his good works.
He is survived by his parents, Tom & Kim Doolittle; brothers, Tommy & Robby Doolittle; grandparents, John & Christine Doolittle, Deane & Ginger Taylor; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
