Joseph Ricci, 75, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, September 14, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus. He was the husband of Amelia (Marchese) Ricci. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, that evening with family and friends, renewing their vows and having the last dance together as husband and wife. Born in Cervinara, Italy, he was the son of the late Michele (Michael) and Matilda Ricci. Joe was the original owner of his family pizza shop, Penn Pizza, in Bethlehem, for 27 years, until retiring. He was a very generous man, who enjoyed helping others and loved to make people happy. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed watching soccer. Survivors: His loving wife Amelia (Marchese), will miss him dearly. His daughter Gelsomina “Mina” Ricci-Lombardo, her husband Giuseppe Lombardo, heartbroken from losing such a strong, loving father. He will be missed mostly by his grandchildren, Carina and Giovanni, who he loved more than life itself. He will be missed by his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends in the U.S, Italy and Australia. He is reunited with his loving son, Mike, in heaven, who passed away 17 years ago.
