JOSEPH REGIS SCANLON, age 51, passed away on August 15, 2016 in Woodbridge, VA. He was born on November 19, 1964 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Joseph Martin and A. Virginia (Doerr) Scanlon. Mr. Scanlon was a 6-year U.S. Navy Veteran who received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with one Star and the United States Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation. Survivors include his loving son: Joseph Jackson Scanlon; devoted friend and former wife: Debra Scanlon; stepson: Brian Mattern all of Fairfax, VA; sister: Margaret Regan of Pittsburgh, PA; niece: Maggie Regan and her daughter, Kylie both of Pittsburgh, PA; nephew: Michael Regan and his children: Nico and Mikaela of New Castle, PA.
