Joseph Randolph “Seed” Appleby V, 44 of Seaside Park, NJ passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at home.
Randy was born in Lakewood, NJ, and was a lifelong resident of Seaside Park, NJ. He was a High School Graduate of Central Regional in Bayville, NJ then went on to study Architecture at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and also at USC in Los Angeles, CA. He was a Realtor for his parent’s family business Appleby Real Estate in Seaside Park for many years. Randy was a Councilman with Seaside Park, NJ.
He was a Surfboard shaper and owner of Who Sticks and Ascension Surf making custom surfboards. He was a lifelong Surfer and a member of the 24th Ave. Local Brotherhood. Also, he was featured in two surfing magazines highlighting his expertise in shaping. Predeceased by his grandfather Joseph Randolph Appleby III.
Surviving are his Parents Joseph Randolph Appleby IV and Judy (Nyberg) Appleby of Seaside Park, NJ, his grandmother Marie J. Appleby of Toms River, NJ his sister Julie Webster and her husband Scott of Toms River, NJ, his nephew Kyle Webster of Toms River, and his two nieces Melissa and Lauren Webster both of Toms River, NJ.
