Joseph passed away quietly in his sleep at Christus/St Vincent Hospital October 6, 2018 following a short illness. Joe was born to Luigi and Teresa Pisacane and grew up in Forest Hills, NY. He was in the Merchant Marines during the Korean War. Joe attended Columbia University and studied theater. Joe married his first wife and had two sons. Joe also had two granddaughters who he adored and loved. He opened his first restaurant “Caracalla” near Lincoln Center in Manhattan in the 1960s. He moved to Santa Fe in the early 1970s and married a second time. He opened his second restaurant, “The Periscope”, with his second wife which became one of the more popular restaurants in Santa Fe at the time. Joe retired in the 1980s and never lost his passion for food, wine and travel.
