Joseph Michael Scrooby, Jr.  “Joe”

Macedon: Passed away of cancer with his family around him, on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the age of 78.  Joe was a 1957 graduate of Marion Central, in Marion, NY and went on to serve our country through the United States Marine Corps from 1957-1962 where he received the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Lebanon).  Upon his return, he went to work as a tool & die maker with Kodak until his retirement in 1992.  He went on to work for Hauser, Parlec and WalMart all of Macedon, NY.  

Joe is predeceased by his parents Lottie Eleanor Urbanik Scrooby and Joseph Michael Scrooby, Sr.; brother, Gary Scrooby; brothers-in-law Tom Smith, Tom Gardner and Billy Gardner.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rebecca Weeks Lonneville Scrooby; sons Gregory (Mary Beth) Scrooby and Timothy Scrooby; daughter Lori (Mike Butler) Scrooby Lavoie; siblings, Richard Scrooby, Fred (Maureen) Scrooby, Tom (Sue) Scrooby, Terry (Roxanne) Scrooby, Diane Smith and Michael (Kim) Scrooby; grandchildren, Molly Scrooby, Deanna Scrooby, Shane Scrooby, Zachary Joseph (Kayla) Smith and Hunter Lavoie; several nieces, nephews, cousins, cousins-in-law and brother-in-law Jim (Susie) Weeks; all of whom loved Joe and Joe loved all of them.

A special thanks to all the nurses and doctors at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY for keeping Joe out of pain.
