Joseph M. Germano, age 93, of Norwalk, husband of the late Sylvia, Queen of Norwalk, died on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Norwalk, the son of Francisco and Catherine ( Antedomenico) Germano, he was a lifelong resident. Joseph began his truck driving career delivering milk for Clover Farms, then driving for Valerie Transportation, and finally owning his own trucking company, J&S Trucking in Danbury. A hard working family man, he enjoyed vegetable gardening, dancing and westerns.
He is survived by 5 daughters, Joanne Ryzak of Brookfield, Carol Murone of Guilford and Theresa Wood of Norwalk, Ruth Fanali of California, Noreen Nolan of Colorado and daughter-in-law Joan Germano, 2 sisters, Viola “Pat” Bourdoin of CA and Gracie Murphy of FL, 12 grandchildren; Cheryl O’Neill, AnnMarie Ryzak, Carleen McIlween, Bonnie McQuarrie, Lindsay Matthews, Stacey Moronta, Nancy Adzentoivich, Bryan Wood, Deanne Wood, Eric Fanali, Natalie Nolan and Donovan Nolan, 10 cherished great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Joseph was predeceased by his son Joseph Germano Jr., a brother Dominic and 2 sisters Mary Davis and Julie Atlas.
