Joseph “Giuseppe” Mastroieni passed away June 3rd 2011, surrounded by his loving family, in Scottsdale, Arizona. He had just celebrated his 89th birthday on June 1st.
He was born in Albany, New York, the first son of Italian immigrants, Felice and Maria Mastroieni.
Joe was the beloved husband of Shirley DuPre Mastroieni, his life long love and partner. Shirley and Joe had been married 68 years. They were married on June 27th 1943.
Joe was an entrepreneur and investor. He was in fact the embodiment of “the self made man” – world traveler, explorer and inventor. Joseph was a success in every way. His most important success was devotion to family. He had a degree in CRS.
Joseph served in the Army as a Sergeant in the Tank Corps in the South Pacific.
He is survived by his beloved wife Shirley and his loving sons Steven and Gregory and the much loved Arianne, as well as his sisters Teresa Curto and Santa Curto of Albany, New York.
