Joseph M. Abate 84 of the Holiday City Berkeley section of Berkeley Township died on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at home. Born in Newark, NJ he lived in West Orange, NJ before moving to Holiday City Berkeley in 2001. Joseph was a US Army Veteran of Korea and worked as a Technician for Monroe Business Machines in East Orange, NJ. He also worked as a Car Salesman in Summit, NJ. Joseph was a parishioner at St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Twsp. and loved to play tennis.
Surviving is his wife Joan nee Bartman. Two daughters Laura Winkler and her husband Rick of Manahawkin, NJ and Carol Abate of Toms River. 8 Grandchildren; Sarah, Bradley, Matthew, Noah, Ricky, Jonathan, Timothy and Abigail. One Great Grandchild Madison. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Tuesday September 20, 2016 from 9am to 11am at the Timothy E.
