Minister Joseph Randolph Jones of Valrico, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2021.

He was born in Bonifay, FL on May 12, 1945, to Johnnie and Martha Jones. His parents relocated to Quincy, FL shortly after his birth. He graduated from Carter-Parramore High School Class of 1964 in Quincy. He loved playing football and was a star running back. His family and friends affectionately called him ‘Joeboy’.  Upon graduation he was drafted into the United States Army, serving in Vietnam as a paramedic during his tour of duty.  

Shortly after being honorably discharged, he relocated to Tampa where he entered the truck driving profession.  He remained in that profession for 40 years until his retirement.

Sports was a major part of his life. He loved playing baseball and softball. He coached for many years developing talent.

Minister Jones had a strong love for the Lord.

Minister Jones was also an active member of the Carter-Parramore Class of 1964 prayer group. He often participated in their Thursday noon prayer meetings, including delivering the message.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jacqueline; children, Tangela Jones, Myron Jones (Khadiya), Dedra Keith, Miranda Boykins (Cameron), Erica Jones, and Kyle Jones.  His love of family was an immense part of who he was. He shared a strong bond with his two older sisters Mrs. Sarah Graham and Mrs. Alberta Hill.

 He leaves behind twenty grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
