Joseph “Joe Zing” Carl Zingarelli, Sr., 87, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2015 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret “Peg” (Deady) Zingarelli. Born and raised in Hartford, he spent 20 years in FL, most recently Port St. Lucie, before moving to Newington in 2010. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Joseph was the owner and operator of J. Z. Electric for many years. A loving and devoted father and grandfather, he leaves his two daughters, Donna Zingarelli of Pompano Beach, FL and Sharlene (Zingarelli) Kenesky and her husband Tom and their son Zachary all of Newington. He also leaves nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his son Joseph Zingarelli, Jr., his two sisters and his one brother. Joe’s family is thankful to have been able to spend a healthy, happy 2014 Christmas with our hero.
