Mr. Joseph M. “Joe” Otto, 33, of Elkhart, passed away at Memorial Hospital of South Bend at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013, following an accidental fall in his home.
He was born in South Bend on June 16, 1979, to Janice M. Otto-Wagoner. She survives in Elkhart.
He later married Jillien L. “Jill” Hunsberger in Elkhart on Aug. 3, 2012. She survives at home.
Also surviving are his son, Keegan J. Frantom and his daughters, Andrea M. and Ashley A. Stoffer, Reagan N. Frantom, and twins Arabella D. and Julianna G. Otto, all of Elkhart; sister Lindsay M. Wagoner; mother Janice M. Otto-Wagoner; and his grandmother, Elizabeth A. Otto, all of Elkhart.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Angela Hunsberger, and his grandfather, William P. Otto Sr.
Joe had recently been employed at General Sheet metal Works in South Bend as a metal fabricator. He had always been musically inclined and enjoyed playing both electric and acoustic guitars. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, lavishing his friends and family with his unique sense of humor and taking things apart and reassembling them just to learn how they worked.
