Mr. Joseph J. Lombard Jr., age 79, of Milford, devoted husband of 49 years of the late Helen Mars Lombard, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at West River Health Care Center, Milford, after a brief illness.
Son of the late Joseph J. and Gioconda (DeVito) Lombard, he was born in Waterbury, on October 16, 1929. He was the Vice President of Sales at Lombard Brothers Trucking Company of Waterbury.
Survivors include his two devoted sons Michael Lombard and his wife Kimberly of North Guilford and Mark Lombard of Moretown, VT, his three devoted daughters Kim Lasko of Memphis, TN, Susan Lombard-Wolff and her husband Robert of Northwest Hills, CT and Kathleen Gillooly and her husband Tom of Yardley, PA; four cherished grandchildren Elise Lasko, Michael and Joseph Lombard, and Elizabeth Gillooly; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a brother Anthony Lombard of Woodbury, two sisters Angela McCann of Milford, and Marie McGraw of Armonk, NY. Mr. Lombard was predeceased by a son Joseph J. Lombard III, a brother Francis Lombard and his son-in-law Gary Lasko
