Joseph H. Lukaszewski, Sr., 79, of New Britain, died peacefully in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Born in New Britain, son of the late Boleslaw and Helen (Wnuk) Lukaszewski, he was a lifelong New Britain resident and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church where he served as an usher and a member of its Holy Name Society. Joe was employed as a draftsman at the Stanley Works for 25 years and then as a computer aided draftsman at Carling Switch before retiring. Joe enjoyed entertaining and playing the accordion. His smile and warm welcoming personality will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Lukaszewski and wife Joann and Peter Lukaszewski and his grandsons, William Lukaszewski and wife Katherine and Stephen Lukaszewski. He was predeceased by Carol (Prebis) Lukaszewski, his beloved wife of 53 years.
