Joseph Franklin Parizack 84, of Morgantown aka, Josef Kcazirap died Wednesday March 23, 2011 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. He was born July 24, 1926 a son of the late Joseph and Callie (Christopher) Parizack. His formal education started at the WV Business College in Fairmont with Accounting and Business Admin. In the Army he was stationed at Ft. Benjamin Harrison and Fort Knox before being sent to Germany. He received BA and MA degrees from WVU. He worked on farm census data for the US Dept of Commerce in D.C. In Germany while working in the army finance offices he developed his interests in history and languages that would continue throughout his life. He became an instructor of German at WVU and then a Professor of German, French, English, and History at Waynesburg College. He started violin lessons as a youth in Fairmont, and continued to practice all his life. He played in a community orchestra at WVU as well as playing in small groups among friends. After years as a classical musician, he also came to appreciate and play fiddle and folk songs as well as ballads and movie themes. He was a violin instructor and also became skilled at their repair. He was an animal lover, gardener, historian, humorist, and author. He loved writing enigmatic letters to his friends. Foremost Joe was a cat person. He had rescued countless cats, most of which he kept himself. He is survived by his first cousin Irene Jean Morgan of Reedsville; other distant cousins; and leaves behind a void with his many special friends.
