Joseph Corsale, 90, of LaSalle, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his home.
Corsale was born on January 28, 1927 in LaSalle to Nick and Josephine (Catalanello) Corsale. He married Barbara Ann Bradley on September 9, 1950 in the Queen of Holy Rosary Church in LaSalle.
He served in the Navy during WWII serving as seaman 1st class and also as a combat air crewman and attended Horology School at Bradley University. Joe owned and operated Corsale Jewelers in Oglesby with his wife and son.
He was a member of the Queen of Holy Rosary Church in LaSalle, past Governor of LaSalle-Peru Moose Lodge, member of Moose Lodge, past President of Peru CSO, life-long member of LaSalle Knights of Columbus and LaSalle American Legion.He is survived by his children, Barbara Jane (Rick) Skowronski of Oglesby and Nicholas Corsale of LaSalle; two grandsons, Joseph and Jacob Corsale; one sister, Phyllis Pytel of LaSalle; one brother, John Corsale of Ladd; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara, one granddaughter, Nicole Ann Corsale; and one sister, in infancy.
