Averill Park – Joseph C. Miller III, 55, of 2nd Dyke Road died Tuesday, February 20, 2018, peacefully at his residence with his loving wife by his side.

Born in Albany, he was the son of Virginia ‘Ginger’ Dominic Miller, Albany and the late Joseph C. Miller Jr. and beloved husband for 25 years of the heart broken Sharon L. Steinburg Miller. He had resided in Averill Park for 27 years. Joe attended grade school at St. Margaret Mary School, where he was an Alter boy, and graduated from Guilderland High School the Class of 1980.

Joseph was Tandem Tractor Trailer Operator for NYS Office of General Services for 33 years.

Joe  enjoyed RC Planes and was the President of the TriCity RC Flyers in Poestenkill, he was the Assistant Director for the Capital District Soap Box Derby for 10 years and he loved music and was in the band, Overture, for 29 years with his brothers, Roy and Glenn. He enjoyed golfing, spending time on Saratoga Lake, but most of all, he loved being with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors in addition to his, mother and wife, include his daughter, Heather (Matthew) Bryan, Averill Park; his grandchildren, Kamden and Harper; his brothers,  Roy (Stephanie) Miller and Glenn Miller, both of  Albany; his brother-in-laws , Michael (Mary Beth) Steinburg, and Steven Steinburg; his father-in-law, Charlie (Eileen) Steinburg and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Steinburg; his aunts, Mitzi Dominic and Barbara Miller; his niece, Nicole Steinburg and nephew, Jacob (Rachael) Steinburg; his grand niece, Scarlette; and several cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents,  Joseph C. (Marian) Miller Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Peter (Annette) Dominic Sr., his uncles, Peter Dominic Jr.  and John ‘Jack’ Miller; his niece, Chelsea; and brother-in-law, Buddie.

Relatives and friends may call at the All Saints Catholic Church 16 Homestead Street Albany, NY 12203 on Friday, from 4 – 7 PM.
