Passed away on June 5, 2017, at the age of 74. Joseph was born in Kalamazoo on June 18, 1942, the son of the late Joseph Jacob Grosser and Clara (Boers) Grosser.
He worked for 30 years in the public school system, serving as a teacher and coach for Kalamazoo Central High School and Mattawan High School. He then moved on to serve as an administrator at Marysville High School, where he coached football before retiring in 1993. He is survived by his wife, Judith Ann (Van Dyken) Grosser; children, Christopher (Evelyn) Grosser, James (fiancé, Angel King) Grosser, and Darin (Carrie) Grosser; six grandchildren, Adam, Christopher, Nick, Addison, Valerie, and Kennedy; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lubbert; and one brother-in-law, Lawrence (Jan) Thomas; his step-mother, Kate Grosser; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Thomas.
