Joseph Allen Barto 65, of Terra Alta formerly of Newburg died Wednesday January 05, 2011 at Hopemont Hospital. He was born September 22, 1945 in Newburg a son of the late James and Cora Mae (McGinnis) Barto. Joe had owned a trailer park, drove truck and school bus. He worked for a while as town police officer in Reedsville and served as Mayor of Newburg. Before illness forced his retirement Joe operated car lots in Newburg and Grafton. He is survived by three brothers Paul, Robert, and William Barto; four sisters Mary K. Barto, Cookie Burke, Faye McVicker, and Theresa Huffman; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers James and twins Donald and Ronald Barto.
