Joseph A. Sheridan, Jr “Golden Joe” passed away in Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia on Friday at the age of 78. He was born and lived most of his life in Burlington. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Lynch’s Garage in Bordentown and most recently for Distributec in Delanco as a security guard.
Part of his heritage was Cherokee Indian and he collected Native American wind catchers, paintings and artifacts. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and watching birds, especially eagles, with his binoculars. Predeceased by his wife Nancy (nee: Frazier) and daughter Deborah he is survived by his children Glenn Sheridan, Joseph A. Sheridan, III, Bridget Sheridan, Darrin Sheridan, Michelle Longley, 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
