Joseph A. Meehan of Plymouth, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday March 30th at B.I.D. Hospital Plymouth after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Lopes) Meehan. Beloved father of Michael P.Meehan of Plymouth, Christopher A. Meehan of Plymouth and the late Joseph A. Meehan. Brother of Marjorie Hendrix of Ocean City, New Jersey. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Jamie, and Brook and great grandfather of Domenique, Aiden, Emily and Ryleigh. Born in Philadelphia, PA. on January 9, 1930 son of the late Joseph and Margaret Jacoby Meehan. He was educated in New Jersey. He went on to serve his country in the US Army during the Korean War were he was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He went to work for the US Postal Service service where he worked as a sorter until his retirement. Joe was an avid model train buff and enjoyed watching the stock market.
