Joseph A. Kaluzny, 91 was born on February 20, 1916, as Anthony Joseph Genda to Anthony Genda and Monica Zoradzha in Bradley, Illinois. After the death of his mother and twin sister at birth he was adopted by the Francis Kaluzny and family, when he was named Joseph Anthony Kaluzny.

On April 20, 1940, he married Yvonne L. Cleppe, who preceded him in death on January 6, 2003.

Surviving is a daughter, Yvette (Ed Jr.) VanLue of New Carlisle; a granddaughter, Allysia (Bill) Blackston of New Carlisle; and a great granddaughter, Taylor Helen Blackston; brothers-in-law, George (Virginia) Cleppe of Mishawaka, Robert (Alice) Cleppe of Granger; a sister-in-law, Agnes (Ed) Genda; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepbrothers, Edward Genda, Aloysius Genda; and sister-in-law, Violet (Al) Genda.

Joseph retired after 42 years from the former Bendix Corporation in 1975. Joseph always had a joke to share with everyone. He enjoyed many years of fishing various lakes in Indiana and Michigan. He and his wife were able to move to the country in New Carlisle in 1982 to be by his daughter and son-in-law, which they thoroughly enjoyed. But, his greatest joy was his precious great granddaughter and granddaughter. Rest in peace dear one. Your years of suffering are over. We will miss you terribly. God speed.
