Jose’ L. “JOE” Figueiredo, a resident of Stoughton for over 47 years passed away peacefully after a brief illness in Easton, on Sunday April 30, 2017. He was 58 years old. His survivors include his 2 sisters, Madalena Rego and husband Joao, Irene Faria and husband Frank, and his brother Ernesto Monteiro all of Stoughton. Other survivors include his godmothers Zelia Freitas of Cambridge and Irene da Cunha of Santa Maria, his uncle Alexander Figueiredo of Santa Maria, his goddaughters Susana Monteiro and Sandra Rego and many nieces, nephews, cousins and his very special friend Benita.
Born January 28, 1959 in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal , Jose’ was a beloved son to the late Miguel Monteiro Figueiredo and Maria C. Resendes Cunha. He was employed as a laborer for many years by the former Corcoran Shoe Company in Stoughton and Footjoy Shoe Company in Brockton.
