Johnny Wayne Dupin Jr. 68, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday July 13, 2013 in Union Hospital with his wife, Sheila, at his side. Johnny was born June 29, 1945 in Terre Haute to John Dupin Sr. and Elsie Coleman Dupin. John was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to work crossword puzzles and watch Jeopardy. He was a very talented song and poetry writer and a very skilled guitarist. He was inducted into the Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame for his works with the band Life, as well as having a poem in The World Of Poetry for his poem “My Shining Star.” He also had a 45 record published. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Brenda Tighe, two brothers; Mark and Jimmy Dupin, and one grandson; Jerimiah Dupin. He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 27 years,Sheila Ison Dupin, one n son Mark Dupin of Terre Haute, one brother; Jerry Dupin and his wife Becky of Brazil, two sisters; Rita Davis and her husband Neil and Marilyn Gammon and her husband Ron both of Terre Haute, six grandchildren; Rocky, Joey, Kelsey, Crystal, John, and Faith, as well as seven great grandchildren. Johnny is also survived by many other friends, family, and loved ones.
