John Yoos, 63, of Clarksburg, has gone home to our Lord. He passed at home with family by his side on April 22nd, 2017 from a courageous battle with cancer.

John was born in Springfield Gardens, Queens, NY on July 23rd, 1953. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucille T. (Parker) Yoos and Henry John Yoos; sister Lucille T. (Yoos) Ike; in-laws, Robert and Josephine Gray; brother-in-law, Robert J. Gray, Jr; cousin, Cris J. Fenz.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 43 years, Terrilynn (Gray) Yoos; two sons, Timothy J. Yoos and wife Kayla (Loy) of Clarksburg, Michael J. Yoos and wife Melissa (Power) of Blackstone, MA; two of his most precious joy’s in life, his granddaughter, Isabella Marie Yoos of Clarksburg; his grandson, Nicholas Joseph Yoos of Blackstone, MA; one brother, Henry J. Yoos and wife Mary of Greensboro, NC; nephews, Donald Wilson and wife Joanne of Long Island, NY, David Wilson and wife Kate of Long Island, NY, Christopher Yoos of CT, Edward Cezniak of Loveland, CO; nieces, Donna Wilson of Long Island, NY, Camille L. Fenz of Clarksburg; as well as aunts, uncles, many cousins and his very dear childhood friend, Gary Meade.

John was an Avionics Technician for Grumman on Long Island, NY and Bombardier Aerospace in Bridgeport. He was also a Certified Master Electrician

His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. He loved going to the gun range, working on his cars, and also fixing clocks.

He was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His family was the love of his life and he will be so deeply missed and will live on in our hearts and precious memories.

Our family thanks Dr. William Bowles and staff for many years of care and compassion, Dr. Osman and staff for their kindness, caring and compassion and People’s Hospice for all they did for us in such a very difficult time. They are an amazing organization. Our family could not have gotten through it without them.
