ohn Woods, 64, Anderson, passed away October 7, 2009 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson, Indiana. He was born August 7, 1945 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson and Osprey, Florida all of his life. He graduated from the Chef School in Evansville where he also joined the Lessing Masonic Lodge #464 F. & A.M.
He was also a Shriner and really enjoyed listening to country music. John served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He had previously worked at Warner Press, retired from Chrysler and owned Jaws Spinner Baits where he built fishing rods.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma Hinton Woods; brother, James & wife Teresa Woods; niece and nephew, Darcy Milson and Nicholas Woods; cousins, Buddy Jones, Margaret Jones, Randy Saunders, Barry Saunders, Dorothy Anderson, Becky Howes and Brenda Woods; several aunts and uncles including Catherine Saunders and Skeet Woods and many special friends including, Bud Cain, Pete Cain and Mike Norris. He was preceded in death by his father, Maynard R. “Woody” Woods.
