John William McCarty of Fairview died Monday, June 13, 2011
after a short battle with cancer. He was born November 23, 1942
in Terre Haute to John Wesley McCarty and Naomi (Haton)
McCarty. He served in the U.S. Marines, and was retired from
the Clinton Half Century Club, The American Legion #140,
Eagles Lodge #291, and a lifetime member of the Am Vets, the
Marine Corp. League, and the Sheriff’s Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Keith Carl
Robinson, and two brothers; Richard McCarty, and James
McCarty.
He was married to Charlotte Auterson-Robinson-McCarty on
June 22, 1968 in West Terre Haute, and she survives. Other
survivors include one son; Kenneth Robinson of Indianapolis,
and one daughter; Kristine Robinson-Allen of Rosedale, 10
Grandchildren; Kristopher (Jessica) Robinson, Jordan, Jerrad,
and Krislynn Tucker, Kierstyn and Keaton Allen, Lauren,
Courtney, Taylor, and Luke Robinson. One great-grandson;
Nathan Robinson. Sister; Mary Elliott of Terre Haute, Brother;
Jack McCarty of Terre Haute, and a Sister In-law Judy McCarty
of Terre Haute.
