John William Cummings, 63, of Lafayette, passed away from COVID complications on January 19, 2022 at IU Health Arnett Hospital surrounded by family.
John was born May 20, 1958, in Lafayette, the son of the late John E. Cummings and Jo Ann (Wilson) Cummings. He was a 1976 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and went on to become a developer, commercial and custom home builder in the Lafayette area. John enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and spending time in Marathon Key, Florida with friends.
John is survived by his siblings, Robert (Cecilia) Cummings of Lafayette, Robert (Leanna) VanVoorst of Carmel and Brenda (Bill) Sheets of Lafayette; his beloved dog Clyde, and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John E. Cummings, Joann (Wilson) Cummings, and his step-mother, Dorothy Cummings.
