John Wayne Bishop, 56 of Valley Point, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013. He was born November 3, 1956 in Morgantown, son of Doyle Burns Bishop of Texas and Helen Louise Costello of Tunnelton. John loved to fish, hunt, woodworking, growing roses and being outdoors. He last worked at Little Sandy’s in Bruceton and Charley Crouch’s woodworking and was in the WV National Guard at Camp Dawson. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Debbie L Shaffer, Newburg; five nieces and nephews, Kristy Lynn Everly and husband Richard, VA, Michael Alan Catlett, Albright, Sarai Jean Miller and husband Benjie, Kingwood, Daniel Ray Shaffer, Newburg, Woody Joe Shaffer and wife Alica, West Union; six great nieces and nephews, Blakelyn, Haley, Maleigha, Jazmyne, McKenzie and Oliver; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
