John Wallace, Jr of Satellite Beach, FL went home to the Lord on Thursday, July 29th, 2021; age 78. John was born on February 16, 1943, in New York City to the late John and Carol Wallace. John had one sister, Madeline Bagnato of Queens, NY, who preceded him in death by one month. He grew up in Brooklyn and lived in Queens and Long Island until moving to Satellite Beach in 1993 upon retirement. John worked in law enforcement for the City of New York, first in the NYPD then later with the Corrections Department at Rikers Island.  John also served in the Army Reserves as a young man in the famous Irish heritage unit—the 69th New York Infantry Regiment.

John married the love of his life Patricia (McGeough) Wallace in 1973, who preceded him in death in 2001. John is survived by his son Brian of Melbourne, daughter-in-law Michelle, and granddaughters Kiley and Carina.

John was kind, extremely loyal, and always quick with a joke and a smile. He’d give you the shirt off his back. He loved fishing, being on his boat, and baseball – especially the NY Yankees. He could be found every morning walking Hightower Beach, with his fishing pole not far behind. John was beloved by all who knew him, and he will be missed immensely, but never forgotten.
