John W. Parrish Jr., 77, of Jacksonville, IL, died Friday, July 30, 2021, at his home.
He was born June 18, 1944, in Gassville, AR, the son of John W. Parrish Sr. and Martha Goings Parrish. He married Patricia Hembrough in 1966, and she preceded him in death on June 30, 2008.
He is survived by six sons, David, Michael, Chris, Patrick, James and Andrew; and twelve grandchildren.
Mr. Parrish was a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He had worked as a union operator, working for Rouland Trucking & Construction, and many other Central Illinois companies. His favorite hobby was playing golf.
