John Tinnick of Burlington City passed away peacefully at his home on December 8, 2016, he was 90 years old.

Born at home in Roebling, NJ on May 6, 1926 to Rosalia and Kiprian Tichonuk by a midwife. He graduated from Florence High School in 1943 and served in France during World War II for the US Army and was honorably discharged July 4, 1946. After his military service, John attended Rider College as a business major.

He worked for Luekels Lumber in Trenton, Nevilles Lumber Co. and Hilco Homes in Burlington. He retired from Wetherills Home Center in Beverly. Predeceased by his parents Rosalia and Kiprian Tichonuk, his son John, daughter Barbara and his wife Elaine (Bernhard).

John is survived by his sons and daughter in law; Jeffrey and Charlene of Burlington City and Jay of Ohio, his grandchildren; Jeffrey (Debbie) Ingling of Florida, Jeanette Mercuri, John (Stephanie) Tinnick and Ryan and Laura Phillips all of Burlington, his great grandchildren; Brianna, Jeffrey, Jaylynn, Marc, Tyler, Mitchel, Ashley, Maksim, Nathan and Logan.
