John Steven “Steve†Shelton, 43, of 13525 Franklin Tpke., Dry Fork, VA died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at his residence. Born November 14, 1967 in Danville, he was the son of Lavada Wyatt Dishman and Leslie H. Shelton. Prior to his decline in health Steve was a carpenter. He was married to Robin Dishman Shelton who survives. Steve is survived by his mother, Lavada Wyatt Dishman and husband, Wayne of Danville, his father, Leslie H. Shelton and wife, Betty of Chatham; his three special sons, Jonathon Lee Shelton, Joshua Steven Shelton and Matthew Cole Shelton. He is also survived by his sisters, Lisa Dawn Shelton, Jessica Nicole Shelton and Cindy Shelton Still, and his brother, Stanley Heath Shelton. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Leslie M. Wyatt and Delphine O. Wyatt and his paternal grandparents, Hugh M. Shelton and Lorene M. Shelton.
