John S. Libucki, Sr., of Burlington, passed away Sunday, July 17th at the Burlington Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Burlington Township; he was 86 years of age. Born on August 10, 1924 in Delran, NJ., he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Libucki.

A United States Marine Corps Veteran, John served his country honorably during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. John had been employed both as a welder and a security guard before his retirement. A member of All Saints R.C. Church, he enjoyed his sports, especially the Phillies, Eagles, and the 76’ers. In his spare time John like playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his son “Angel” Robert, a brother Walter and nephew Michael.

A loving husband and father who will be sadly missed, John is survived by his loving wife of 64 years; Sophia (nee Wilk) Libucki of Burlington, his children and their spouses: John Libucki, Jr., of Riverside, Thomas (Marcy) Libucki of Hillsborough and Maria (Tom) Algorri of Burlington Twsp. John is also survived by his 5 grandchildren and their spouses: Marquinta Algorri, Kera (Sean) Flynn, Marlena Libucki, Monica Libucki, and Brandon Libucki and a great-granddaughter; Alysia. Also surviving is a sister in law: Delores, a niece Karen and many great-grand nephews and cousins.
