John Robert McKinley, Sr., 73, of Interlachen, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center. He was born in Eaton, IN, to Donald and Christine McKinley. John was a 1967 graduate of Eaton High School and later served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. He had worked as a technician for The Overhead Door in Harford City, IN where he retired after many years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin Walker (Philip) of Ft Worth, TX, son, John Robert McKinley, Jr. (Cristin) of Columbus, IN, brothers, Donald McKinley, Jr. of Interlachen, and Charles McKinley (Jean) of Muncie, IN, sisters, Jeanie Dalton (Darrel) of Huntingburg, IN, Nancy Ann Gonzales (Philip) of Muncie, IN and Wendy Siefert of Palatka, as well as grandchildren, Evan Van Gordon, Patrick McKinley, Phillip McKinley, Allison Van Gordon, and Alexa McKinley.
