John Robert Dollar, age 80, of Orlando, Florida peacefully passed away on January 3, 2022 while surrounded by his family.

John was born on September 26, 1941 in Jacksonville, FL, son of John Dalton (Pat) and Marie Bass Dollar.  John lived his adolescent life in Kenansville, FL  and graduated from St Cloud High School where he met Emma Lou, his wife of 57 years.
John started his career in Gainesville, then moved to Auburn before making his way back to Central Florida.  There he was a civil engineer with PBS&J for most of his career before moving on to Osceola Engineering where he worked until 2012.

John was a kind man with a generous spirit who was a member of the Kissimmee Bay Rotary which gave him the opportunity to help organizations like Give Kids the World and HELP Now. 

A sports lover, John was a Kowboys booster and volunteered his time to the Kissimmee Little League. He enjoyed watching his Auburn Tigers but spent many weekends in Gainesville with friends, watching the Gators. John spent many more hours watching his children participate in their various activities, and then later his grandchildren. 

John loved to travel and could always be found with a camera in his hand. He and Emma Lou took many trips to Europe and throughout the United States over the years.
He is survived by his loving wife Emma Lou, daughter Debbie and her husband Mark Batchelor, son Vince and his wife Jennifer Dollar and grandsons Johnny and Sonny Dollar.
