Mr. John R. “Killer” Boxley was born on April 9, 1942, the son of John H. Boxley and Thelma Boxley Bryant in Indianapolis, Indiana.

John was a life long resident of Indianapolis, Indiana  He was the only boy among eight sisters.  He received his education in the Indianapolis Public School System.  

John became a member of the Naptown Riders in 1975 and was a life long member.  He considered them his second family.  He loved to travel with the Naptown Riders.  He also enjoyed Jazz in the Park and dancing.

John departed this life on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the age of seventy-six years, eleven months and twenty-eight days of age. He was preceded in death by his father, John Boxley and mother Thelma Boxley Bryant and; sisters Loretta Keys and Zenia Boxley,

John is survived by his six sisters, Myrena Brooks Ware, Naomi Pearson, Janice Blunt (Emerson), Theresa Bryant, Doris Jones, Vickey Bryant and a host of other relatives and friends.
