John R. Watts, 66, of Bloomington passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his residence. Born November 12, 1946 in Bloomington, he was the son of Richard P. and Charlene (Bruton) Watts.
He was a 1964 graduate of Bloomington High School. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1081.
John retired as a press operator of 38 years at the Indiana University Printing Plant. A loving father and grandfather he was an avid bowler who enjoyed golfing and Nascar Racing.
Survivors include two sons, Tim Britton (Angie) of Spencer, Damon Watts (Heather) Bloomington, three grandchildren, Kristen Portteus (Ian), Logan Britton all of Spencer, Isabel Watts of Bloomington, one aunt, Julia G. Jones of Bloomington, four cousins, Sue Van Horn of Bloomington, Joyce Floyd (John) of Ellettsville, Barbara Jean Shields (Ikie) of Spencer and Jim Jones (Kathy) of Bloomington. John was preceded in death by his parents, Richard P. Watts (November 1990), Charlene (Bruton) Watts (January 1993).
