John R. Makos, 80, of Hellertown, passed away on Friday, May 16 2014 at Manor Care of Bethlehem. Born on June 1, 1933, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Gescek) Makos.
He was an auto mechanic by trade.
He was a member of the former St. Josephs Catholic Church in Bethlehem.
He was a loving father and very good-hearted. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters and son. Survivors: daughters, Debbie and husband James Force of Florida, Jeannie of Bethlehem Twp, Cyndi and husband Charles Resh of Effort, Linda and husband Wayne Kerchner of Bethlehem; son, John and wife Nancy of Bath; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sisters Jenny Messics of Palmerton, Miriam Noll and her husband William of Ohio; brother, Calvin Makos and his wife Lorraine of Bethlehem.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Charles, Ernest, William, Frank, Stephen and sisters, Helen, Margaret, Ethel, Gloria, Agnes and Anne.
