John R. Lowe, 86, Anderson, passed away July 9, 2008, at his son’s home in Anderson, Indiana after a brief illness.
He was born December 4, 1921, in Knightstown, Indiana, and resided in Anderson all of his life. John retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW #266 and the UAW Local #662.
John is survived by his son, Bruce R. & wife Patricia K. Lowe of Anderson; step-children, Larry Dorothy O’Bryant of Frankton, Richard Carol Reed of Alexandria and Elaine Don Marsh of Elwood; nephews, Stephen Mickey Lowe of Anderson, Joseph Lowe of Anderson and Sonny Marilee Lowe of Middletown; and nieces, Sandy Pollard of Anderson, Donna Cowgill, Patty McClure of Greenfield, Nancy Lowe and Kathy Lowe of Arizona. Also surviving are several dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar & Mabel Dobbins Lowe; step-son, Steven O’Bryant; brothers, Robert ” Bob” Lowe, Wilbur Lowe, Hoyt Lowe, Donald Lowe, Eugene Lowe and Maurice “Spud” Lowe; granddaughter, Deigh Dee Lowe and ex-spouse, Edith Lowe.
