Phil “Buff” Buffenmyer age 62, of Ashland, died Sunday December 18, 2011 at Samaritan Regional Health System.  He was born March 30, 1949, in Ashland, the son of Carl and Madge (Rogan) Buffenmyer.  Mr. Buffenmyer had been a lifelong resident of Ashland.  He was a 1968 graduate of Ashland High School.  He had been owner and operator of Buff’s Lawn and Garden from 1971 until 2004; he most recently was employed with Craig Smith RV Center in Sales for the last 4 years.  Mr. Buffenmyer was a veteran of the U.S. Army for his service in Viet Nam.  He was a member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge, the Ashland County Shriner’s Club, V.F.W., Elk’s Lodge, Eagles Club, American Legion, Moose Club, Sportsman Club, and the AmVet’s where he was a trustee.  Mr. Buffenmyer enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, motorcycles and traveling especially to the Florida Key’s. 

Survivors include his fiancée, Dar Harris of Ashland; his daughter’s, Kristi Buffenmyer of Frankfort, KY., Susan Buffenmyer of Ashland, Dawn Harris of Jeromesville, Holly Harris of Ashland; along with his grandchildren, Ivey Buffenmyer, Bethany Fulk, Bailey Fulk, Mackenzie Napier, Regan Napier, Grant Harris, Tristian Harris, Tanner Banks, Meadow Schmitz, Timber Banks, and Melody Schmitz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and half-brother, Ned Guenther.
